Next workshop will be in 2014.
An intensive 3-day experiential workshop in qualitative research methods for studying organizations
For Faculty and Doctoral Students
Qualitative research methods bring us closer to the organizations we study. Using these methods, scholars can develop rich, relevant and more interesting contributions to organizational theory.
This workshop provides hands-on practice in qualitative techniques through a short field-based project, in which participants will collect data at a local organization. Participants will come away not only knowing how to do data collection and analysis, but with a community of colleagues to support you in doing qualitative research.
Learn how to:
|AM||Introduction, research design and data collection|
|PM||Into the field: observation and interviewing on site|
|AM||Insights: how to analyze your data|
|PM||Group analysis and development of categories from data|
|AM:||Presenting qualitative research|
|PM:||Group presentations and wrap up|
Next workshop will be Summer 2014.
